Cordage Raises £1,830 in Great South Run for St Wilfrid’s Hospice
Our Cordage team proudly took on the Great South Run — and together we raised £1,830 for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, which is 83% over our original target!
Having supported St Wilfrid’s before, we’ve seen firsthand the impact of their compassionate end-of-life care and the vital support they provide to families across our community.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported and donated — your generosity truly makes a difference, and we’re incredibly grateful to have such a supportive network behind us.

Planning Approved!
191 New Homes Coming to Portsmouth
We’re thrilled to share that our Group businesses CPC Planning Consultants & PLC Architects have secured planning permission for our landmark redevelopment of the former Connect Centre in Portsmouth. Once an underused office building, the site will soon be transformed into 191 new apartments, bringing new life and purpose to this prominent part of the city for HNW Investor Nick Sahota.
This project is a special one for our team. Led by Cordage from the beginning, with assistance from Pete Seiden and Matt Cureton, it embodies our approach to development: transforming existing places, unlocking potential, and creating high-quality homes that make a lasting impact.
With planning now confirmed, we’re moving confidently into the delivery phase, with construction on site due to begin shortly with Darren Burnett, Robbie Welch & Mia Dawson from Bryburn at the helm. It’s an exciting next step for the whole development team to roll out this important and ambitious project.
A huge thank you to our trusted partners who have played a key role in reaching this point.

We hosted our annual Golf Day at the beautiful Goodwood Golf Club. It was great to welcome our valued partners and spend time together on the course. With good weather on our side, we enjoyed great company, engaging conversations, and some healthy competition.
After a full day on the greens, we wrapped up with drinks and dinner, where we announced the winners and handed out prizes.
A big thank you to all our partners who joined us and made the event such a success. We truly value your continued support and are already looking forward to doing it all again next year!

Public Consultation: Plans for the Former House of Fraser in Chichester
We held a public consultation at Vicars Hall, Chichester Cathedral, bringing together key stakeholders and Chichester District Council before opening the doors to local businesses, residents and the wider community to share our proposals.
The proposals set out a plan to revitalise this historic site with bespoke commercial and retail units along West Street, alongside a carefully designed mix of one, two and three-bedroom high-end residential apartments. The plans also include the removal of modern outbuildings that currently detract from the character of the area.
If you would like to learn more, the proposals are available HERE.
We remain committed to working closely with residents, businesses, and stakeholders as the project develops.

Team Building at The Oakwood
The Cordage team spent the day at The Oakwood, stepping away from the office to connect, recharge and try something new together.
We began with breakfast before heading into a scavenger hunt around Esher, where rivalry quickly set in and teamwork, strategy and plenty of laughs carried us through. Laser tag followed, bringing more laughter alongside some surprisingly sharp tactics.
After lunch and a short debrief, we crowned the scavenger hunt champions and came together for a company presentation to celebrate 10 years of Cordage, reflect on what we have achieved and unveil our new brand and look.
The afternoon took us to the high ropes course, where some even braved the challenge blindfolded, before finishing with ringo riding.
We wrapped up with pizzas and drinks, sharing stories from the day and enjoying time together outside the office.

A fantastic day of networking, catching up and entertainment at Goodwood
Last week, Cordage Group was thrilled to welcome investors and clients to Goodwood for a day of conversation and a little friendly trackside competition. Events like this remind us how valuable it is to connect face-to-face and strengthen the relationships that drive our work forward.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so memorable. We look forward to many more occasions like this in the future!

Cordage Group submits its largest-ever development proposal of 191 new residential homes
Cordage Group has submitted its largest development proposal to date — a scheme for 191 new homes at the Connect Centre on Kingston Crescent, Portsmouth, set to play a major role in the area’s regeneration.
Delivered by Cordage with CPC Planning, PLC Architects and Bryburn, the project focuses on sustainable urban living, high-quality design and community benefit. It will repurpose underused office space into modern apartments and add two storeys to the east wing, combining permitted development rights with full planning.
Located within the Kingston Crescent / Estella Road Tall Buildings Area of Opportunity, close to North End District Centre, the scheme includes eight electric vehicle bays to support Portsmouth’s green transport ambitions.
The application is now under review by Portsmouth City Council, and we look forward to engaging with the community as it progresses.

A Positive start into 2025 for Cordage Group
For the second year in a row, staff from Cordage proudly volunteered at St Wilfrid’s Hospice Tree Recycling Fundraiser. This Christmas tree collection service is offered in exchange for donations to the Hospice.
St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Chichester is a local, independent charity that relies entirely on the generosity of the community, and we were delighted to contribute our time and support.
Our team had a fantastic day helping out, and the event was an incredible success. Over just four days, an impressive 1,600 trees were collected and more than £27,000 was raised to support the Hospice’s vital work.
